Usually ready in 2 hoursHOT ROD Magazine is a modified car magazine first published in the United States in 1948.
- The spin-off TV program is [HOT ROD GARAGE].
- Hot Wheels has realistically recreated the heavily modified 1955 Plymouth Savoy vehicle that was made for the show using a new mold, including its patina-style exterior (the rust is deliberately not removed, leaving the car in a worn-out condition for decorative purposes).
- The Savoy name was used on mid-range and station wagon models of Plymouth, Chrysler's entry-level brand, from 1951 to 1964.
- This is the second generation of the Savoy that Hot Wheels has chosen as its motif.
- Though the exterior of the actual car resembles a worn-out 1955 Savoy, it is equipped with a 6.2-liter Hellcat engine that produces over 700 horsepower even in standard condition, and is the same type of engine that is fitted to modern Challengers, and the chassis is also a one-off steel tube frame, making it a completely different car.
